  • WHAT IS A DISPOSABLE HOSPITAL CURTAIN?

    A hospital curtain is also known as a cubicle curtain and is a method of giving privacy to a patient in a hospital. The curtain is usually made from inherently flame retardant (IFR) fabric, and is normally suspended from a supporting structure or ceiling track and reaches almost all the way to the floor.

All health care facilities are required to provide a certain level of privacy for their patients and staff. Materials used for curtains must be flame retardant (pass the NFPA 701 test or BS5867 Part2 Type C) and mesh must be used at top to allow sprinkler water to penetrate curtain if there is a fire. 50cm of mesh is standard(No mesh is required if the cubicle track is suspended from ceiling). The curtains hang from the carriers installed into cubicle track.
